Nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley, halfway between Portland and Salem, Union Bell Chapel is a venue that has to be seen to be believed.
Step inside and you’re immediately wrapped in 130 years of warmth and history. Gleaming hickory hardwood floors, soaring vaulted ceilings, ornate chandeliers, and handcrafted woodwork – Douglas fir, birch, and solid oak pews – come together in a space that feels both timeless and alive.
Light pours through the stained glass windows, casting a kaleidoscope of color across the room and setting a tone that no decorator could ever replicate.

Chapel Seating
Our nondenominational chapel seats up to 200 guests and welcomes all religious and civil ceremonies. This is your day — decorate it, celebrate it, and make it entirely your own.
Reception Hall
Beyond the chapel, a spacious reception hall, outdoor patio, and garden arbor give you room to spread out and celebrate. Hold your ceremony and reception all in one beautiful, flowing location — no shuttles, no stress. The reception hall comes equipped with a commercial kitchen, tables, chairs, and a full sound system. Bring your own caterer, decorator, and vendors — or let us point you toward our trusted local partners. Beer, wine, and spirits are welcome.

At Union Bell Chapel and Community Center you may bring your own food and drink, or hire your own caterer, servers, bartenders, band or DJ, sound system and decorations. You are welcome to choose your preferred vendors or select from our list of local providers.
Alcohol, beer and wine are allowed but not provided.

Since 1894, our steeple bell has rung out across Hubbard to celebrate life’s most sacred moments. Rooted in ancient Celtic and Irish tradition, the ringing of wedding bells blesses newlyweds and proclaims their love to the world. Let the whole valley know – your forever starts here.
